My Name is Anne, a 40-year-old mother of one. I joined the cross-stitch project in 2016 when Cross Stitch representatives introduced the project in the prison where I’m incarcerated. I worked on this cross stitch piece of a cartoon and it took me a week to complete. Through cross stitch I have been able to pay for my medical fees when I was admitted in hospital and also send some money for my child’s up keep, school fees and also some of the basic things she needs. I really want to express my sincere gratitude to Cross Stitch for encouraging us that not all hope is lost and that there is something we can do to make our lives better.
